The one of the most awaited festival of victory over evil: Dussehra, is about to come. University students eagerly wait for this long term holiday to visit their home and enjoy festivity. According to holiday list of University of Allahabad, classes will remain suspended from September 29, 2025 (Monday) to October 2, 2025 (Thursday).
Saturday-Sunday Closure
Remember, just before beginning of Dussehra holiday, it is Saturday and Sunday and it is ubiquitously known that classes in UoA do not run these days. Also, classes for many courses/subjects are not conducted on Friday, leading to Saturday-Sunday holiday after Dussehra holiday too.
SEC Classes on Saturday
Recently, in a notification UoA said: “Classes for Skill Enhancement Courses / Ability Enhancement Courses / Value Added Courses in all Departments and Centres are being conducted on Saturdays.” So, 1st year students will have to take care of this too otherwise they may loose 2 Saturday classes.
9-day Break
Thus, many students have chance to enjoy a long festive holiday.
